Welcome to all GENESIS’ music fans!

One summer in the early seventies, an Italian friend of mine showed up at my parents’ home with some “new” records for me to listen to. The music on them was nothing short of mind-blowing and more sophisticated than anything I had heard before. It completely changed the way I listened to music. My friend played “Foxtrot,” “Nursery Cryme,” and Genesis “Live.” A mere week went by before I had copies of them all plus “Trespass” and “Selling England by the Pound.” Like many of you, I have bought every album since and have gone to see them play on four diferent ocassions.

In 1999, GENESIS released a new version of “Carpet Crawlers” to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway” album. This inspired me to create a new version of “Hairless Heart” in the same vein as their updated single. The project soon grew bigger, covering various GENESIS songs in different styles and reflecting the various eras of the band, although not necessarily in chronological order.

When approaching the project, I took the point of view as if I were a member of the band. I asked myself, what would be good to offer to the fans of the progressive era of GENESIS? What would I like to hear? How about some new versions of old classics plus some new stuff encompassing the various periods of the band? The idea became clearer to me  and with that, the project was born.  A CD with three great GENESIS songs plus three new original songs along with a website where I would have enough space to explain in detail the various aspects of the project.

The creation of this project is a labour of love. My personal tribute to a band whose music has meant so much to me throughout my life. It is also dedicated to all the GENESIS fans such as myself who have been through thick and thin with the band’s multitude of changes without ever jumping ship. My intentions are to speak to them musically in recognizing and propagating the music of one of the world’s best rock bands ever!
